Students completing Grade 6 at a government school
Your primary school will oversee the distribution and collection of all important information. Department processes determine that secondary schools do not correspond directly families of Grade 6 students prior to July.
Students completing Grade 6 at a non-government school (or home-schooled)
If your child attends Grade 6 at a non-government primary school or is home-schooled, you can apply directly with Maribyrnong College. Refer to the Year 6 to 7 Information Pack for Parents and Carers via this link: Moving from primary to secondary school | vic.gov.au. This pack includes the application form.
Complete the application form and return it to enrolments@maribsc.vic.edu.au by Friday 9 May 2025. Maribyrnong College will acknowledge receipt of the application form and advise families, in writing, that if their child is not successful in gaining a Year 7 placement at their preference/s, their form will be forwarded to their designated neighbourhood school.
Students who have applied for Maribyrnong Sports Academy
For families hoping to be offered a position through Maribyrnong Sports Academy, please complete your Application for Year 7 listing the school you wish to enrol in if your child does NOT get offered an MSA scholarship.
