Scholarships

 

Maribyrnong College is offering up to five Academic Scholarships, valued at $500, to high performing applicants for places at Year 7 in 2010.

A payment of $500 will be credited to the family account of successful applicants.  Successful applicants will be chosen mainly on the basis of information on this form.

EMA families will receive the scholarship in the form of a payment from the College in February
For non EMA families, the payment will cover College fees for year 7 and 8, and parents will receive a cheque for the balance.

Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of a reference from the child’s grade six teacher.  The teacher provides a written rating of the student’s academic ability and his or her attitude to learning and capacity to be a role model for other students.

Maribyrnong College will contact the teacher to verify the statement.

Applications for 2010 scholarships will close on 8th May 2009
