International Students

International Students 2007We have a growing number of International Students – 33 in 2009.  Most of our current International Students come from Vietnam, with a small number also from China and most of them are in years 10, 11 or 12.  Those considering our College should study our website to gain an understanding of our programs and policies.

As a destination for international students we have the advantage of being a medium sized school, very close to the centre of Melbourne.

Support services offered to our International Students include

  • An International Student Co-ordinator who provides social support to students
  • A community representative who supports students with issues relating to home stay, and who maintains direct contact with parents on school related matters
  • Multicultural assistants who speak Vietnamese, Arabic and Spanish
  • Homestay arrangements made for those who require it
  • Special English classes, with teachers qualified to teach English as a second language to ensure students maximise their English language skills
  • Small class in ESL sizes and assistance with after school and in class tutoring
  • Strong, College wide focus on high standards of academic performance
  • Regular monitoring of student progress and contact with parents
