High Achievers Program
Maribyrnong College has a well established High Achievers Program. Now in its fourth year, students undertake an accelerated mathematics curriculum that covers the year 7 – 10 curriculum in three years. Students are then prepared to undertake V.C.E. unit 1 and 2 Mathematical Methods whilst in year 10.
The students selected into this program will be in the same class for most of their subjects because they are academically above average and have high levels of commitment and work ethic. The program provides them with the extra challenges and opportunities of a high performing group.
Students are selected through completing the ACER High Ability Selection Tests in English and Maths. The tests are conducted in May each year for the year 7 intake the following year.
Applications to sit for the exam for 2010 intake close Friday 8th May 2009 .
Tests will be conducted on Friday 22nd May 2009, from 9:30am to 12:15pm at the College
